Emergency services were called to a unit on Cossa Street, West Tamworth, just before 2.40am after reports a man had been stabbed.

They found a 47-year-old man with a wound to his neck.
The man was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics, before being taken to Tamworth hospital in a stable condition.
Officers from Oxley Police District established a crime scene.
Following inquiries, and with the assistance of the Dog Unit, they arrested a 57 year old man nearby just after 4.30am.
He was taken to Tamworth Police Station, where inquiries continue.
