She just transformed her own on the corner of Brisbane and Dowe streets, with little more than some gyprock and a keen eye for interior design.
"I grew up in Tamworth and have lived in Sydney for 14 years, every time I would come home I felt at peace - I felt like it was calling me home and I resisted that because I didn't think I could have a successful business here," she said.
"But I started to see it was becoming a town of creatives, I drove past this space and saw the vision of what it could be; a place to inspire people, teach creatives how to start a business in a place where talent doesn't always get a go."
I used to think Tamworth was boring, but now there are more young business owners than ever creating opportunities for people to be here.
- Crystal Bailey
Crystal Bailey Home is more than just an interior design shop, it's a space for workshops, private consults and giving people the tools to create a beautiful home.
Ms Bailey studied design a decade ago, before that she was in a band with her brother and sister called The Bailey's, managed by local businesswoman Joan Douglas.
Eventually she moved to Sydney and has worked for high profile clients like Barry Du Bois, Shelley Craft and Darren Palmer and designed homes for Lorna Jane, Lisa Messenger and Jane Lu.
She co-founded the Design Twins label and built stores in Sydney, Byron Bay and Los Angeles.

Coming back to Tamworth she's already putting her touch on a number of business spaces on her block.
"The city has changed so much, there are so many young business owners and people passionate about investing in the town - it's not just the country music capital but the creative capital," she said.
"I used to think Tamworth was boring, but now there are more young business owners than ever creating opportunities for people to be here.
"What I love about Tamworth the most is everyone is so genuine and supportive, people might not have time but they make time for others and the generosity and kindness of people has been overwhelming."
