Born in 1925, and growing up on Denison Street, Ms Rodgers devoted her whole life to the community and looking after the heritage and young people of Tamworth.
Alongside her husband John, who passed away in 2010, the couple are to thank for Tamworth's educational and historical spheres.
During the 1950s, Audria's drive and tenacity saw her begin a campaign for the establishment of South Tamworth Primary School, which led to the sound of the first bell in November of 1952.
Awarded the title of "Life Prefect", Audria is fondly remembered by the school community.

Teacher at South Tamworth Primary Jennifer Porter said Audria would be remembered as a treasure of the community.
"[She'll] be remembered by those who have been touched by her kindness and foresight to make Tamworth a better place to live," she said.
Despite her huge contribution to the community's educational opportunities, it was Audria's passion for history that defined her life.
This dedication meant, at age 33, Audria became a founding member of the Peel Valley Historical Society, which would later become the Tamworth Historical Society.
Most notably, Audria was considered to have saved Tamworth's crown jewel, Calala Cottage, from being bulldozed and worked tirelessly to restore it with her husband John.
Former President of the historical society, John Vickery, described Audria as the "heart and soul" of the society and said what Tamworth enjoys today is a "true testament to her".
Audria's commitment and passion did not go unnoticed and over the years she received a lengthy list of awards, a stand out being the Order of Australia Medal in 2000.
Sadly, Audria passed away on October 2.
Described as the rock of her family and a marvellous mother, Ms Rodgers leaves behind a legacy of passion, commitment, and according to her family, a legendary date and caramel slice recipe.
