Despite running for the past three months, the Peel Street Market has been forced to cancel their October edition due to a changes in NSW restrictions that were introduced on Monday.
Market organiser Barry Pratten said the latest restrictions made it impossible to run the event, due to stall holders needing their own QR codes, and capacity limits.
"It's just ridiculous what they've done," he said.
"I feel we are going backwards, not forwards as far as opening up."

Mr Pattern said the cancellation would be felt hard with October being one of their most popular markets in the lead up to Christmas.
"People are very frustrated to reduce their ability to sell their products," he said.
As a regular stall holder at the market for 20 years, Geraldine McKay from McKay's Farm Baked Cakes said the cancellation would be a blow to local businesses
"There's a knock on effect of financial benefit," she said
"The businesses on Peel Street get a significant benefit of bringing more people into the CBD."
Ms McKay said the market was more than just an exchange of goods and money, noting the emotional impacts the decision had made.
"The community has really gone through enough," she said.
"There's a huge emotional benefit to the community of us being able to gather, we need each other."
