TWO NEW cases of COVID-19 have been recorded in Tamworth in the latest update and no new infections have been found in Gunnedah.

One of the Tamworth cases is located in Calala and the other one is in South Tamworth, according to Hunter New England Health (HNEH).
The two additional cases bring the total number of active positive coronavirus infections in the city to 45, according to NSW Health.
There are still 13 active cases in Gunnedah, according to NSW Health.
No further exposure sites in either towns have been listed by health authorities.
There has also been another positive sewage detection up the highway in Uralla from a sample that was taken earlier this week, though there are no known cases there.

It's a welcome drop in numbers, the same as yesterday, after a record 10 cases were confirmed on Monday.
Data released by the federal government on Monday shows the Tamworth local government area has crept past the 65 per cent double dose vaccination rate.
HNEH public health physician Dr David Durrheim said yesterday that most of the cases in Tamworth have been linked to a cluster, though the isolation and source status have not been confirmed for the new cases yet.
There were 78 new COVID-19 cases in the HNEH district to 8pm on Tuesday, at least 38 were infectious in the community.
There are 19 cases receiving care in hospitals across the district, including four in intensive care, though HNEH has not revealed if any of the patients are hospitalised in Tamworth.
The state recorded 444 new COVID-19 cases in the latest update on Wednesday and the state has now hit 75.2 per cent double dose vaccination. Further rules will ease when that number climbs to 80 per cent.
There were four deaths across NSW in the past 24 hours but none of them were in the HNEH area.
Health authorities continue to urge residents to turn out for testing and get vaccinated.
