Anna Marie Anderson, 53, did not appear in Tamworth Local Court on Wednesday when the allegations levelled against her were confirmed.

Solicitor Madeliene Mulvaney from the state prosecuting authority, the DPP, said the case could proceed after a charge certificate was filed with the court.

She said the DPP would press ahead with one charge of aggravated dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm.

One allegation of dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm was dropped in court and the single charge of driving with a high range blood alcohol reading was listed as a related offence.

Anderson has not entered any pleas.

Defence solicitor Clint Coles told the court lawyers on both sides would meet later this week to discuss the matter at a case conference.

He asked the court to make an adjournment "in accordance with the timetable" and said he would let the court know if the matter could be resolved earlier following any discussions.

"The DPP is entitled to an adjournment of ... eight weeks," magistrate Julie Soars said.

She relisted the case in December.

"As usual the parties have liberty to apply if the matter can be resolved more quickly," Ms Soars said.

Prosecutors were urged on the last occasion to do their best to move the case along after the court heard Anderson's livelihood was "at stake" while she waited.

She is accused of being behind the wheel of a Volkswagen Tiguan travelling on White Street when she collided with another a car about 2pm on April 1.

Police allege Anderson recorded a high range blood alcohol reading of 0.250 after the crash.

Police said the 56-year-old driver of the other car underwent surgery for a fractured arm.
