IT'S NOT quite Christmas but it certainly feels like it as Tamworth Regional Council returns to the chambers to make big decisions.
On the agenda tonight, the council will vote on whether to cover an additional financial burden after the Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal approved a water price hike that will see Tamworth pay almost double the the next highest priced valley in the Murray Darling Basin.
A few lucky residents will be given a couple of bucks to spruce up the joint as councillors vote to contribute to locally significant projects through the Heritage Assistance Fund.
And, as the Sydney CBD-sized Tamworth Global Gateway Park moves full steam ahead, the council can expect an update on exactly where it's at.
