NSW Health's interactive map was updated on Friday to show a sewage sample taken from Tamworth found traces of the virus.

There is one confirmed positive case isolating in the Tamworth local government area but it is understood the person had been deemed "low risk" by health authorities and lives on the outskirts of town.
The fresh detection is a blow for the city after the third consecutive negative result was recorded only two days ago from a sample taken on Monday.
It's been a rollercoaster ride for Tamworth after six positive detections in a row were followed by three consecutive negative tests over two weeks, and now this most recent positive result.
The last positive sewage detection before now was revealed in a sample taken on September 8, according to NSW Health data.
A Tamworth update was not mentioned specifically in the press conference held by NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian and Chief Health Officer Kerry Chant on Friday, nor in the latest Hunter New England Health (HNEH) statement.
HNEH has been actively encouraging Tamworth residents to seek out a COVID-19 swab if even the mildest of symptoms develop.
Testing sites locally include the Tamworth hospital, the Plain Street drive-through, Tamworth Respiratory Clinic, Douglass Hanly Moir or the walk-up Coledale clinic which is open for its final day on Friday.
No part of the New England North West are currently in lockdown.
The most recent sewage samples from Uralla, Armidale and Inverell have come back not detecting the COVID-19 virus.
The most recent test from Glen Innes does show traces of the virus. There are two confirmed cases in the area and both are in isolation.
HNEH data shows more than 2000 people were tested in the Tamworth region in the seven days leading up to Wednesday, September 22.
