GRAB a date as a new one is set for the awards that celebrate the best in the business.
Tamworth Business Chamber has forged ahead with plans for the Quality Business Awards, that will now be held on February 18, 2022.
The awards were postponed due to regional COVID-19 lockdowns and a new date has been set after discussions with Business NSW and sponsors, chamber president Stephanie Cameron said.
"The health and wellbeing of the local business community and the public will be our number one priority," she said.
"The chamber will now move forward with planning for the gala night in February 2022 to ensure it aligns with NSW Health recommendations, whilst delivering a celebration of the region's business excellence."
Finalists will be announced on October 14 at 5pm through the Tamworth Business Chamber social media pages, including Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn.
More than 1400 nominations for at least 650 local businesses have been received for the 2021 Quality Business Awards, making it the most successful in six years.
Mrs Cameron said she is confident the 2021 awards will go ahead next year, as well as the 2022 awards later in the same year.
"We are excited to celebrate our strong and resilient business community, who continue to do it tough in these trying times," she said.
The highly anticipated 2021 Gala Awards night will be held at the Tamworth Regional Events and Conference Centre.
Tickets for the gala night will go on sale October 15.
Mrs Cameron thanked award sponsors for their patience and support.
