More than 2000 shoppers piled into the Tamworth store at the weekend as lines were backed up around the block.
Management juggled COVID safety with the sheer amount of people wanting to have a look at the shop where nothing costs more than $10.
Ten Tops marketing manager Isabella Bernardi said it was incredible to see the outlet receive such a huge reception so soon after lockdown.
"That was really exciting for us to see that kind of reception, it's our fifth store and we have seen in every market quite a big response to us opening," she said.
"But we're excited to say Tamworth has been our most successful store opening to date."
Ten Tops partnered with a number of other businesses around the region, with coffee van GoGo Espresso giving out some free coffees, and a Tamworth DJ "bringing some energy to the day".
Despite facing financial uncertainty due to opening during the pandemic, the shop has employed 25 people.

Ms Bernardi said the franchise is growing fast, with the Tamworth location added alongside Dubbo, Canberra, Wagga Wagga and Nowra.
She said people across NSW have been attracted to the store because of its large range.
"It's a very wide range of goods, we cover about 14 different categories so anywhere from dry groceries, to pet care, to homewares, to automotive, to tools to garden needs," she said.
They also have limited amounts of 'top picks' which are different items that are only available until they are sold out and something else takes its place.
