Police are appealing for information after a 28-year-old man was found stabbed in the back and shoulder at a Gunndedah home about 6am on Monday.

Emergency services were called to the scene on Hopedale Avenue and the man was treated by paramedics before he was taken to Gunnedah hospital.
He was later rushed to John Hunter Hospital in Newcastle, where he remains in a serious condition, according to police.
Oxley officers set up a crime scene and investigations are continuing.
Police urge anyone who witnessed the incident or who may have CCTV or dashcam footage from the Hopedale Avenue area at about 6am on Monday to contact local police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
