It increases the opportunities for local residents to access vaccinations, protect themselves and their loved ones from the virus.
The 'no appointment necessary' clinics will be at three Tamworth sites before going to Barraba, Manilla and Nundle and are open to everyone age 12 and over for people who need either their first or second dose.
People should take their Medicare card, water and wear a hat. The clinics will return three weeks later to administer second doses.

The clinics come just weeks after our region's first UNE Medical Centre drop-in hub at the sports dome where 253 people received AstraZeneca.
Those patients will be back on October 10 for their second dose. It's so positive to see the number of people being vaccinated steadily climb. Australian Immunisation Register figures released this week shows 77 per cent of locals have had their first dose and 45 per cent have had their second.
When Moderna arrives in pharmacies near the end of the month, I expect we will see an increase in vaccination rates.
We appreciate the part medical services play in vaccinating our community. I want to thank residents who are embracing the 'Let's Do This' approach. The higher our vaccination rate, the closer we get to our lives being more like it was before the pandemic hit.
The clinics are:
- Tuesday September 28 at Tamworth Sports Dome from 9:30am to 4pm
- Wednesday September 29 at West Tamworth Leagues Club Events Centre from 9:30am to 4pm
- Thursday September 30 at The Youthie from 9:30am to 4pm
- Friday October 1 at Barraba Bicentennial Hall on Bridge Street from 10:30am to 3:30pm
- Saturday October 2 at Manilla Soldiers Memorial Hall from 10:30am to 3:30pm
- Sunday October 3 at the Nundle Memorial Hall on Jenkins Street from 10:30am to 3:30pm
