A GROUP of talented creators who first bonded over their market stalls have come together to stock the city's newest gift shop with local treasures.
Co-founder of N & K co. Nicole Jones said shoppers are seeking out homegrown goods and searching for ways to support small business.
N & K co. showcases 15 stockists - 14 of which are from the New England North West, while the final one is family.
"We are all each other's biggest cheerleaders at the moment ... we're all trying to lift each other up," Ms Jones said.
The small business owner said the uncertainty of the pandemic had encouraged her to take opportunities, and when she found out a space had opened up in Centrepoint she leapt at it.
"We thought let's grab it with two hands and give it a crack," she said.
"You've got to adapt and try and make things work."
That sentiment was tested early on when she picked up the keys to the new space the same day Tamworth was plunged into lockdown.
Ms Jones said they went with the flow and even managed to pick up new stockists during the stay at home orders.
Then the doors opened for the first time on Friday morning.
"I've been so blown away by the local community getting behind us and the feedback and the vibe of the store has been overwhelming," she said.
Ms Jones said the store has been curated to be a place where people can pop in and pick up a beautiful gift to suit anyone in their lives.
N & K co. is open daily in Centrepoint and can be found on social media.
