With services spanning a range of programs aimed to enhance the wellbeing of families, carers, children and young people, Centacare NENW provides support and care for all in our community.
Through short-term and longer-term case management and courses, such as the Family Rural Resilience Program, Family Counselling, Parenting Programs and Youth Services, it is an organisation that cares.
Throughout the recent COVID-19 lock downs, Centacare NENW remained open, continuing to support the community with mental health and wellbeing support.
Many of its programs are funded by the state and federal governments and are provided free or at a low cost.
"Our services are aimed at building resilience, building relationships and living happy lives," said Mrs Fallon Roberts, Centacare's executive leader for Family, Wellbeing and Justice program.
Education and communication are key when dealing with uncertain times, either for yourself, or someone close to you.
"Centacare NENW can provide counselling, information, education and support to help - it's okay to be upset, angry or worried, and expressing those feelings will make it easier to cope and eventually heal," said Mrs Roberts.
Centacare NENW offers a range of services for individuals, couples and families including counselling and education workshops, aimed at building resilience and skills to better cope with the challenges we all face.
Group programs provide peer support, playgroups and social connection, others provide guidance and advice on topics such as parenting teenagers and post-separation parenting.
Centacare NENW seeks a holistic approach to helping individuals, helping provide support in a practical manner that can be used even after your program ceases.
"It's important to remember that you're not alone," continued Mrs Roberts. "And Centacare New England North West are ready to listen." For local support and understanding, call 1800 372 826 or go to www.centacarenenw.com.au
