Piloted by Jodi Worley, the Paddy Cunningham-trained mare rocketed home in the last 200 metres to finish on par with Brett Bellamy's Beat That in the $24,000 1400 metre Benchmark 66.

The daughter of Reward For Effort hadn't had a start in just over six months, her last for Kane Harris over 2000 metres, after being based in Victoria.

Rendelsham had previously raced 30 times for three wins between 1600m and 2000m, as well 11 minor placings, before transferring north to link up with the Cunninghams in Glen Innes.

She was purchased earlier this year by Glen Innes jockey club's Mark Ritchie and is now shared among a group of Glen Innes and Armidale owners.

The Glen Innes contingent includes, the Cunninghams, Ritchie, Gav Mccarney, Mona Ryan while the Armidale group consists of Clarrie Moran, Colin Levingston, Ellen Dunger, Bobby Rose and Dean Warren.

The ownership group were elated with the first up effort.

"A big thank you to Paddy and Kath Cunningham," they said.

"They took on a tried horse from Victoria with a few minor hiccups along the way and did what they do best with her.

"They did it and managed to get a win over a distance she hasn't had a lot of success at before.

"Jodi Worley guided her and showed she has a fantastic turn of foot and knows how to hit the finish line.

"We are excited to see what the future brings."
