A 15-YEAR-OLD boy has been released on bail, accused of a string of break-ins across Tamworth after a lengthy investigation by local police.

The teenager was arrested on Thursday afternoon and charged with six counts of break, enter and steal after a spate of alleged robberies between September 2019 and June this year.

Extensive inquiries by Oxley police spanning nearly two years led officers to track down the accused at a home in Tamworth about 2:20pm.
He was arrested and taken to Tamworth Police Station, where he was charged with the several allegations.
The teenager was released from custody on strict conditional bail, police said.
He will front Tamworth Children's Court next week.
