Some of the industry's brightest stars have attended the renowned Country Music Association of Australia's (CMAA) senior course ahead of the January festival, including the likes of Travis Collins, Amber Lawrence and Ashleigh Dallas.
The John Minson scholarship is named after the legendary man himself, who was also known as 'Mr Hoedown' as a pioneer on the country music scene.
It is designed to support and encourage a young person's journey in country music through a fully-funded place at the CMAA Senior Academy of Country Music.

Mr Minson's son Lawrie still lives in Tamworth and wants to encourage local artists to apply, because he believes the region should be creating opportunities for young singer-songwriters.
"This is an appropriate way of preserving the memory of a great man, my father," he said.
"It is a way to keep the name John Minson alive and in the minds of people, especially young artists because my dad's outlook was to help and encourage others in any way he could, so this is such a beautiful way to honour him."
The scholarship is also supported by Tamworth Regional Council and applications are open online until September 30.
The Academy gives students invaluable knowledge, tips and methods and real life experience.

The academy is set to run in the country music capital from January 4 to January 13 next year.
Tamworth musician and Golden Guitar Award winner Ashleigh Dallas is a graduate of the intensive program and said the scholarship and program can help uncover hidden gems.
"The Academy gives students invaluable knowledge, tips and methods and real life experience to add to their craft tool belt as they start or continue their growth and foundations of a career in music," she said.
"On top of all the learning ... students form incredible life long bonds and connections, which is such a positive beauty within and beyond the program."
