Oxley police allege Leece was driving a Ford Falcon north on the New England Highway near Nemingha, just after 9am on Monday, when he was pulled over.

The same vehicle was stopped later that day travelling south on the New England Highway at Moonbi, where police claim Leece told officers he had left his local government area to buy lunch.
A search of the Ford allegedly revealed illegal drugs, which were then seized by police.
Officers attended a caravan park in Tamworth the following day after further investigation nd ultimately raided a residence, allegedly uncovering further illegal drugs.
Leece was taken to Tamworth police station where he was charged with the offences and spent the night in custody before his case was called in court.
