The Longyard Hotel won't be inconvenienced by an aged care centre set to become their new neighbour - but it won't be turning down the music either.

That's acording to owner Craig Power, who said he was "concerned" for the viability of a 144-bed aged care home which has been approved to be built next door to the iconic Tamworth pub.
Croft Developments is just weeks away from starting preliminary earthworks for the $20 million Ringers Road project.
The Longyard Hotel has a 3am licence and uses it, and the hotel isn't the only noisy neighbour in the area, with ALEC and TREC just hundreds of metres away.

From the Longyard's end, they have nothing to fear from noise complaints.
The pub has legal advice that it won't need to change how it operates to accommodate the new arrival, including in response to noise complaints, because it was there first, Mr Power said.
Owners don't anticipate any other issues to arise as a result of their new neighbour either.
"My main concern is for those guys whether they know where they're placing this," he said.
"You're only ever 100m away from the regional entertainment centre which has the biggest bands and activities in Tamworth. You could have 3000 people walking past your door quite often. And council's plans obviously is to ramp those facilities up with some other growth around the area. It's just a really busy hub."
By contrast Plumes on the Green managers Laurel Cole and Rod Drummond are hopeful the large aged care home will generate business.
The bed and breakfast will be just across the road from the new centre.
"We're hoping that people who come to visit relatives or from out of town, being just across the road, it's an Ideal place for them to stay and of course we would welcome that business," Mrs Cole said.
"We're hoping it's going to have an impact on us."
Tamworth Wizard Car Wash owner Steve Earsman said the aged care home wouldn't create any issues for his business.
The site has been empty for several years, and it was inevitable that it would one day be developed in some way, he said.
The centre is set to be built on an empty lot at 30-40 Ringers Road, between a carwash, GJ Gardiner Homes and the Good Guys. The Longyard Hotel is a neighbour to the rear of the new facility.
Croft Developments CEO Graeme Croft told the Leader the company had considered several other locations for the new centre, and judged that the Ringers Road location was "the ideal site".
"The difficulty with Tamworth is it does have a lot of land that's low lying and flood prone," he said.
"Projects like this we need to have it so that it's got full accessibility in times of flood and inclement weather. That's not the case in a lot of other locations."
Pub Group owner Mr Power said the Longyard precinct is set to grow over the next years and decades, with several additional entertainment options planned near the ALEC and TREC.
"You'd have to question that sort of facility in an area that is dubbed for the major tourism hub in Tamworth. We're trying to get towards 100,000 people, so that's not going to get quieter," he said.
Construction of the centre is expected to start in early 2022, and take 12 months.
