AFTER initially stating it was his preference not to have a mass vaccination hub due to safety concerns, Tamworth MP Kevin Anderson is now fully on board with the idea.

He even inspected the Sports Dome on Wednesday after Tamworth Regional Council suggested it as a potential location for a large, walk-in vaccine hub.
Following the weekend's 'vax-a-thon', Mr Anderson said he now believes the community can act safely do avoid any large congregation being a super-spreader event.
"The community has certainly shown they can do it safely, everybody is acutely aware now, there has been an educational process in terms of how to keep us safe," he said.
"So I'm confident we can do this."
Mass vaccination clinics in the Northern Tablelands towns of Armidale, Glen Innes and Moree have proven to be a success.

The Tamworth MP said while he was very pleased that 2800 people got their jabs as part of the vax-a-thon, he believes a major walk-in clinic may attract different people.
"This provides another opportunity for those who won't and don't make an appointment, for those who don't want to ring up," he said.
"This is for those who for whatever reason would just prefer a walk-up with no appointment, so this will be an opportunity to remove any barrier to vaccination."
Another meeting between stakeholders will take place on Wednesday morning, with further detail expected to be revealed later that day.
