The Disability Access Working Group (DAWG) is looking for new members and is hoping to attract people who are not yet represented.
Chairperson, councillor Helen Tickle, said she was on the lookout for people with physical disabilities to offer their perspective, especially if they were young.
"The Disability Access Working Group is representative of people living with a disability, this could be a lifelong or newly acquired disability," she said.
"We need and value the input from the community to help provide the necessary infrastructure and initiatives to provide better access and services for the disability sector."
Cr Tickle said inclusivity is a crucial aspect of city planning and the more voices that can be heard, the better it will be for all residents.

Current member of DAWG, Fiona Hemmings, said being part of the group has been a huge benefit to her.
"Having lived experience with a now young man with a disability as well as being a business owner working in the disability sector has assisted me tremendously to voice issues of concern directly with DAWG," she said.
"DAWG works directly with council, assisting council to better understand the access needs of people living with a disability to make the community a better place."
The Expression of Interest period closes at 5pm, 1 September, 2021.
