Charges for breaching public health orders have also been made.
The arrests come after an incident at about 5.40am on Thursday, where Inverell police allege six young people used the stolen Queensland vehicle to ram and smash through the side windows of Inverell Motorcycles.
They allege the culprits entered the store and stole three motorbikes, loading them into the back of their stolen ride.
The commotion was overheard by a witness, who was out for an early morning exercise session at Kamilaroi Oval.
The witness ran over to where the robbery was taking place, and quickly took the keys out of the vehicle before going back to the oval.
The group of young people, police said, followed him back to the oval, where they punched him in the face before fleeing.
Police were then called, and carried out patrols of both nearby King and George Streets.
They located and arrested five out of the six people in the group, and took them to Inverell Police Station for charging.
One juvenile was released, issued a youth caution.
Four others were charged with aggravated break and enter and steal, assault in company, be carried in a conveyance, trespass, and not complying with public health orders.
They were bail refused and appeared at Inverell Children's court on Friday.
They were again refused bailed by the magistrate, and now have court dates at Inverell Children's court in September.
