Celebrating the 50th anniversary since the release of IMAGINE - the whole album will be performed live by John Waters and this band - a band that has toured the world performing the songs of John Lennon to great acclaim.
On Friday October 8 at 8pm, John Waters brings this amazing show to the Capitol Theatre marking the anniversary of this iconic album with an entire rendition of it, track by track. Plus rocking on with some favourites from Lennon and the Beatles' amazing catalogue.
John Waters is one of Australia's most recognised and respected television, film and theatrical actors appearing in many TV series, across the ABC, Channel 7, Channel 9 and Channel 10 networks. Not forgetting the memorable 10 years he had tea and played dress ups with Jemima and Big Ted as a regular host for Play School.
After the huge success of 'Looking Through A Glass Onion', the internationally acclaimed theatrical event celebrating the genius, music and phenomenon of John Lennon, now comes the Songbook In Concert, so book your tickets and come and enjoy a night of music nostalgia.

On Saturday 9 October at 7pm The Gunnedah Shire Band and Tamworth RSL Brass Band will bring an evening of rousing music of the celestial kind to the Capitol Theatre.
The Gunnedah Shire Band has previously won the Australian Open, State and National Open A Grade titles and, on numerous occasions, has won the Ern Keller International Band of the Year. The Band includes players of outstanding ability who hold both national and international solo titles as well as outstanding young players.
The Tamworth RSL Brass Band is always striving to improve the skill and entertainment level of its performances in order to demonstrate the flexibility and nuances of the modern Brass Band. For this concert the Band has been fortunate to secure the help of some talented friends from outside the Brass Band world. Some interesting performances are guaranteed!
