THE Leader wanted to know what locals thought of the idea of pubs and clubs refusing to serve those who haven't received their COVID-19 vaccine, so photographer Gareth Gardner took to the streets to find out.

The hypothetical scenario would of course be at a point when every Australian has had a reasonable chance to already be immunised.
Considering it's quite a contentious topic, the response was surprisingly one-sided, with Tamworthians throwing their support behind the potential move.
Cheryl Douglas said she fully supports the idea, and those who can't provide proof of the vaccine should be refused service.
As for Troy Atkins, he said it would be a good idea because the sooner enough people are vaccinated so the virus stops causing lockdowns, the sooner everyone can return to work.

Local woman Di Moss also agreed, and said the COVID-19 situation isn't getting any better at the moment.
Ivin Acuna said if the vaccine stops people getting as sick, then every effort should be made to support more people getting the jab.
George Dobbie echoed that sentiment, and stated the vaccines are saving lives so everyone should be encouraged to get it.
Finally, Nicole Gaffney revealed she was also in favour of pubs and clubs being allowed to do that, because the dangers of the delta variant are very real.
