Tamworth Regional Council (TRC) will look to large renewable energy providers to cook up a concept that would make Tamworth Global Gateway Park (TGGP) more attractive to investors hoping to save a dime on the electricity bill.
Expressions of interest are open and TRC water and waste director Bruce Logan said any renewable energy solutions are welcome.
"We aren't telling people what they can and can't do; they could build a solar farm and enter an agreement to supply businesses within TGGP for a reduced rate," he said.
"They could provide solar to put on rooftops for businesses at a reduced rate; or provide a biodigester that uses feed stock to produce energy.
"It's very broad, we don't really know what's out there at the moment."
It's still early on in the piece for the TGGP development, with industrial land on sale for Stage One of the project along Goddard Lane.

Sustainability is one of the council's top priorities, Mr Logan said, and it needs to do its part to reduce the impacts of climate change.
"We think businesses are looking to be more sustainable in how they procure energy and we want to make TGGP attractive to business," he said.
"If there is something that comes to light by this EOI that the council feels is worth pursuing and needs a change to how we thought the project would be delivered, the sooner the better."
Expressions of interest are open until September 16. More information is available on the TRC website.
