This time around, Facebook group Tamworth True is still a shining example of community spirit, and locals have embraced it once again, switching on their devices to connect during the latest COVID lockdown.
Joanne Stead, one of the group's admins, said they have seen close to 100 new members join this week.
"When something happens like the lockdown, people come looking for the information and we're aiming to put it all in one place," she said.
"We've been proactive about promoting things people can do that are positive, like getting their vaccinations, wearing masks and protecting others."
But they also think outside the box, coming up with quirky ideas to keep people entertained at home, and a $10,000 grant from Facebook is helping them do just that.

Their latest online event focuses on our furry friends, and the positive impact they have on our lives at home in our family bubbles.
"This week we've got an art competition mostly for kids, but we've got an adult section as well, to submit pictures of portraits of their pets at home," Ms Stead said.
The Pet Portrait Prize has been dubbed "The Truies" and prize money will be awarded to the best portraits courtesy of the Facebook grant.
"It's all about sharing experiences that are common within everyone in the group and we think family pets do that," Ms Stead added.
"It's something that within our little family household we feel connected to, it contributes to our household and it evokes all those ideas around gratefulness that all tie in with the mental health tool kit."
Children can create portraits of their pets, or a favourite stuffed toy.
Photos can be submitted to the Tamworth True Facebook page during the lockdown week.
