Gunnedah's Jessica Swain (dressage), Quirindi's Robin Henry (showjumping, quiz), Tamworth's Matthew Kerridge (eventing) and Kootingal pair Miriam U'Ren (showjumping, tetrathlon) and Anastasia Haling (tetrathlon) will compete at the Pony Club Australia National Championships.
Zone 5 deputy chief instructor Jude Alston said having so many Zone 5 representatives be selected for the state team was incredible.
"We [Zone 5] don't always have a competitor representing us but to have five is excellent," Alston said of the national championships.
She added: "They've done very well. To get to the national event is a great achievement."
The selections come on the back of impressive performances by the quintet throughout the year at zone and club level.
The nationals are set to be held in Benalla from September 26 until October 2.
Hot on the heels of the nationals will be the Zone 5 Jamboree.
Gunnedah has the hosting duties this year for the event which will be held in October.
It comes after the 2020 event was cancelled due to COVID-19 which has also affected events in 2021.
Some events across NSW have been cancelled this year but was hopeful the jamboree would be right to return.
Zone 5 clubs all attend the event while Alston said visitors from out of zone also travel at take part.
