The state water authority has been releasing 3ML of water per day for environmental reasons, but at times more than 80 times that amount has been gushing down the dam's unique morning glory spillway in the past few days.
Water NSW data shows 150ML flowed out of the dam and down the Peel River on Wednesday, and another 238ML washed out on Thursday as wave action in the near-full dam sent water over the edge.
Chaffey Dam hit 100 per cent on the weekend, causing 78ML to leave the dam on Saturday and 146ML to flow out on Sunday.
Between Wednesday and Sunday, a total of about 510ML washed downstream of the dam, which is the equivalent of 204 Olympic swimming pools' worth of water.
Excess water will continue to spill while the dam is at capacity.
The numbers include the 3ML per day that is still being released by the state government, a spokesman from Water NSW confirmed.
