The conditions didn't dampen the enthusiasm of the youngsters, who travelled from the across the region for what was the eighth gala day of the Central North season.
The wet weather in the lead-up did throw a bit of a late curve ball with organisers having to fashion some fields after the Plain Street Fields were closed.

Games were played across four divisions - under-6s, under-8s, under-10s and under-12s, with the Tri-Colours were joined by teams from Narrabri, Moree, Inverell, Armidale, Scone, Gunnedah, Quirindi, Barraba, Walcha and even Walgett.
Barraba will host the next gala day on August 8.
