Police have found the body of a man who was reported missing in the state's north-west nearly a fortnight ago.

Nathan Markl, 31, was last seen in Narrabri at about 10.30pm on Wednesday, July 7.
Officers from Oxley Police District were notified of his disappearance the following day and commenced their inquiries.
Mr Markl's abandoned vehicle was located near Narrabri Creek on Friday, July 9.

Following further extensive searches, a man's body was discovered in waters near the Namoi River on Friday morning.
Police are not treating his death as suspicious and a report will be prepared for the Coroner.
