Addison Reserve, a three-year-old brown filly initially trained by Gai Waterhouse, triumphed in race three - a maiden handicap over 1200m.
Starting from the outside gate in a field of 14, Addison Reserve streaked down the outside on the home straight to beat the Allan Denham-trained L'Esperance Rock (Ashley Morgan) by almost a length, with the Cody Morgan-trained Royal Confession (Qin Yong) a length away in third place.

Searle, whom Morgan knows through the jockey's father, Justin, lives with the trainer and his partner, Lucy Goodsell.
Morgan said: "I actually bought the horse for Jackson when he first moved here. I thought, 'Another one for him to ride'.
"But, thankfully, he's taken off and hasn't really needed too many of my horses. He's going well."
Morgan added: "I was joking with him: told him he had to win on it because I bought it for him. So he did."
Morgan said Searle, who hails from Goulburn, "comes from a rodeo background, similar to myself.
"I knew his dad quite well. So when Jackson wanted to become an apprentice, it was sort of a natural progression that he come up to us."
Morgan added: "He's ridden probably 10 winners for us, and he's actually done very well in the last three months. It's only the beginning. And if he keeps improving, he's got a good future ahead of him."
Addison Reserve paid $5.50 for the win (TAB fixed odds).
