For people with disabilities, the elderly and those with medical conditions - a lack of access can be debilitating.
The hard work of a group of Tamworth locals means a Changing Places facility, complete with change tables; a hoist system; centrally located toilet and privacy screen will be installed in Bicentennial Park.

Tamworth Regional Council is looking for quotes from contractors for the detailed design and construction of the facility, as well as parking bays and paths.
The work is expected to be completed at the start of December, just in time for people with disabilities to be able to come to town to do Christmas shopping without the usual worries about access.
