Anticipation is building with Tamworth's Taco Bell opening expected to be just weeks away, and locals eager to sink their teeth into what the largest Mexican-inspired restaurant chain in the world has to offer.
While an official opening date has not yet been set, the fast food joint is expected to be serving up tacos to hungry Tamworth locals in August.
"We're currently in the process of training our Tamworth team, so we don't have an official opening date yet, but we are definitely getting closer," a Taco Bell Australia spokesperson said.
Located across the road from Woolworths Eastpoint, finishing touches are being made on the site, which includes a 21-space car park and a drive-thru.
Local business Lloyd Sign Co have recently completed some signage installation for the cult-like brand, and visitors can expect brightly coloured interior.

Meanwhile, work on Tamworth's fourth McDonald's is speeding along, with the fast-food establishment to open later this year.
McDonald's recently started construction on the new restaurant in North Tamworth, at 114-122 Peel Street, on the corner of Marius Street.
A McDonald's Australia spokesperson said the new joint will create a further 120 jobs for the local community once operational.
"McDonald's Tamworth currently employs 420 members of the local community in full time, part time and casual roles across our crew, management, barista and maintenance teams," they said.
"The new restaurant will inject over $5 million into the local economy and create 100 jobs during construction."
