SNOW has fallen across parts of the region overnight after temperatures dropped and grey clouds dominated the skies.

The white stuff was quick to melt in areas like Walcha on Wednesday morning, but residents in Guyra have snapped photos of scenery showing a blanket of snow.
Light flurries were reported in the Hanging Rock, Sheba Dams and Nowendoc areas overnight.

Weather data from the Bureau of Meteorology (BoM) shows snow was still hanging around in Guyra, Barrington Tops and outside Walcha on Wednesday morning, but would disappear as the day warmed up.
In lower-lying places like Tamworth, a sprinkle of rain was clocked overnight, with some locals reporting higher totals than the 0.2mm notched at the city's official airport weather station.
The head of the Peel River near Nundle got a soaking on Tuesday night, with more than 13mm falling in the 24 hours to 9am today.
That water will flow down the river system and into Chaffey Dam, Tamworth's main water source.
The dam level was still rising on Wednesday morning and had hit 94.7 per cent, with water still flowing in.
There is no snow on the forecast for the region for the rest of this week, according to the BoM.
However, it is predicted to rain in Tamworth again later in the week, with a wet weekend on the cards.
It's been a rainy month already for the region, with heavy falls during the past few weeks causing rivers and waterfalls to rage.
Apsley Falls, near Walcha, has been a popular tourist destination on the weekends, after July rainfall caused the falls to surge and gush down the gorge.
