The Royal Australian Airforce is conducting training based out of Tamworth Regional Airport from Monday through to Thursday.
The roars will be heard each evening between 5.45 to 7pm, and also between 3 and 4pm on Tuesday, July 20.
Up to six aircraft operating in pairs will conduct circuits into the airport, before departing to return to RAAF Base Williamtown.
The diversion training is being carried out by F-35A Lightning II pilots, and is "an essential part of training on fast jet aircraft".

Flights are subject to change, including short notice cancellation due to variables like air traffic control requirements, weather and other aviation considerations.
The Department of Defence said the environment, safety and noise management were all "vital considerations" when carrying out flying activities.
It also stated participating squadrons will do their best to minimise the impact on the community.
