The grounds dried up enough for play to go ahead and the kids had a ball.
With Tamworth Baseball getting the green light to go ahead at the last minute the numbers weren't as high as hoped but president Dave McMurray said the association was "very, very excited" to get juniors off the ground.

"All being well, we should be back into it again full steam next week provided mother nature helps us out," he said.
He added: "We do want to get into playing a competition for them. We've got enough numbers we can do a competition in their respective age groups.
"Yesterday was just a case of a big of fun because numbers were down because we didn't know if it was going to happen."
McMurray said continuing to rebuild the juniors was essential going forward.
"We need to encourage them and help them as much as we can. To have them back participating, it's a win-win for everybody," McMurray said.
