In a novel approach to the COVID vaccine rollout, Tamworth's Burger Urge store will offer a free burger to anyone who has managed to get their vaccine jab, on Sunday (July 18).
A total of one thousands burgers will be handed out across the chain's 27 stores, and it's first in first served.
Burger Urge CEO, Shawn Kerr, said it's the company's way of "giving ScoMo a hand with the vaccine rollout program and drawing attention to the bureaucratic deficiencies of Australia's fight against Covid 19".
"This may be hard to believe, but some people are saying that the vaccine rollout in this country has been an absolute balls-up. Yes, it's a shocking hot take, and we only see one path forward and that's with delicious burgers," Mr Kerr said
"Just come into the Tamworth restaurant, show your vaccination card and say the secret code 'Scomo, ya dun goofed' to your friendly server and we'll hook you up with a free Boston Cheeseburger."
