Tamworth locals have been warned to be on the lookout after reports a child was approached by a man on Wednesday morning.

Oxley Police have appealed to the public for information about the incident, which occurred at about 8.50am on Wednesday morning in Oxley Vale.
Police circulated a description of a man described as between 30 and 35 years old, about 6 feet, 4 inches tall, clean shaven and wearing all black clothing and a black beanie.
He was driving a maroon or brown SUV, they said.
The man is reported to be of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Island appearance.
Oxley police report the man approached a child on Higgins Lane on Wednesday morning.
Police are urging any person who was passing through the area on Wednesday morning and saw the vehicle or the man, or has dashcam footage or CCTV footage relating to this investigation, to contact Tamworth Police Station on 67682999 or Crime stoppers on 1800333000.
