Oxley police commander Superintendent Kylie Endemi revealed no fines have been issued across the district for COVID-19 health order breaches, yet. But, she said anyone caught "outwardly" breaking them would face consequences.
"There has been sufficient time for people to be across what their obligations are ... and what they need to do to keep people safe," she said.
Superintendent Endemi said the community played a crucial part.
"It's really pleasing to see that members of our community ... are ringing Crime Stoppers and the local police to let us know and we are responding immediately," she said.
Police are aware of travellers who have returned home from Sydney and are subject to lockdown orders for two weeks, but no breaches have been detected.
