THE search for New England man Allan Anderson has entered a fourth day, with police from Victoria and Queensland now being notified of his disappearance.
Mr Anderson - also known as 'Martin' - was last seen at his house on Pindari Dam Road in Pindaroi, about 50km north of Inverell, around 11 am on Wednesday morning.
Police and family are concerned for the 65-year-old's welfare given he has a medical condition, and have been scouring the region with the help of New England, Ashford and bush search and recue State Emergency Service units.
On Sunday, interstate police were contacted and asked to share any information they may have to assist with the search efforts.
Queensland forces were notified due to Mr Anderson's proximity to the border, while Victorian police were also told about the situation as he comes from the state, and officials are open to the possibility he could have gone back there.
Allan is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 170cm tall, of slim build, with balding, grey hair and blue-grey eyes.
He was last seen with his dog Bet, which is a black and tan kelpie with a blue collar.
