The Manilla lady celebrated the big triple digits with her dear friend Maree Buckley at the BP Viaduct's Rusty Bucket Cafe on Friday, where Ms Buckley works as a barista.

Their friendship began six years ago when Ms Buckley worked at East Tamworth McDonald's, and Ms Palmer came in regularly for a coffee.

Ms Palmer now buys her coffee at the BP cafe so she can spend time with Ms Buckley.

"I come over quite often and when Maree is working I love coming and having a coffee with her," Ms Palmer said.

The 100-year-old enjoys spending time in her garden.

She said she can't walk without some assistance but her partner Phil Studwick is a "great help".

"I will not go into a home," she said.

For such a momentous occasion, Mr Studwick purchased a ring with five diamonds in it for his partner.

Each diamond symbolises 20 years of Ms Palmer's life.

Born Clara Reynolds in 1921, she lived in Ontario, Canada until she moved to Australia in 1961 with her late husband Jack.

They had 11 children, and sadly Mr Palmer passed away in 1976. Ms Palmer became an Australian citizen in 1992.

Ms Palmer has 30 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
