Having been cancelled in 2020 due to COVID-19, this will be the sixth year the event has taken place.
With netball, gymnastics, soccer, rugby league, rugby union and tennis all returning for this year's Games, it is set to be another big year with many teams attending from both within and outside of the region.

The NPG will give young children the opportunity to play sport in an inclusive environment against teams they would not usually compete against.
Throughout the weekend, several current and former professional athletes will be in attendance - taking photos with attendees and providing sporting tips to aspiring young athletes.
The NIAS chief executive officer and NPG event manager, James Cooper. said the Games had been "going strong for six years".
"And we are looking forward to seeing the excitement on kids' faces at this year's event, especially after so many sporting events and carnivals were cancelled last year," he said.
A round-robin fixture of games commences on July 10, with the event concluding the following day.
As per previous years, gymnastics will be hosted at the Tamworth Gymnastics Club on the weekend prior to the official launch of the Games.
Registrations for all sports except gymnastics will remain open until July 2.
Meanwhile, the third regional training session for NIAS's athletics program will be held at the Tamworth Athletics Track from 10am to 1pm on Sunday.
While NIAS FC's under-14 and under-15 soccer sides will be in action at the Lake Macquarie Regional Football Facility on Sunday when they take on Cooks Hills United.
The U14s match starts at 1pm, with the U15 clash starting at 3pm.
NIAS, meanwhile, has announced the players who have been selected in its 2021 rugby league squads.
This year the rugby league program features an under-15 boys squad and an under-17 girls squad.
