TWO people have escaped a car crash relatively unscathed this long weekend, after a vehicle towing a caravan rolled south of Tamworth on Monday morning.

Paramedics rushed to the scene of a car crash on Thunderbolts Way, south of Nowendoc, just after 11am on Monday, an Ambulance NSW spokesman confirmed.
The spokesman said two people were being treated for their minor injuries after a ute and the caravan it was towing flipped.

The two occupants of the ute are understood to have suffered cuts and bruises in the crash and had not yet been taken to hospital an hour after the crash.
Police and two ambulance crews remained at the scene into Monday afternoon, but Live Traffic NSW updates indicate Thunderbolts Way remained open to traffic.
The road connects the Tamworth region with the coast, and is the main thoroughfare to tourist destinations like Forster.
