LIFE OF GIVING: Inverell's Raymond Harold Mepham has been honoured posthumously with an Order of Australia for his service to conservation and the environment.

An Inverell man was the first person to artificially breed Murray Cod, and now his dedicated work for the environment and his extensive volunteering efforts over the course of more than half-a-century have been recognised.
