The reconciliation and retaining local youth ride is back on again to introduce young people to potential employers.
On August 14 riders will take off from Rose Lee Park in Quirindi and ride to Walhallow Aboriginal Health Corporation for some refreshments, before riding back to Quirindi for a barbecue lunch.
The 61km round-trip will see young people and groups of employers from the NSW Police, Whitehaven Coal, Australian Rail Track Corporation (ARTC) and bank branches pedal together and have a chat all the while.
The ride is the brainchild of Liverpool Plains Shire Council mayor Doug Hawkins, and it's been running for a few years now.
He stressed it wasn't supposed to be a race.
"I don't want people to race, it's just a leisurely ride so they can socialise with those people and we'll have a barbecue when we get back and then again it gives them a chance to talk to them," he said.
"The idea of the ride was to create an awareness of Clontarf and the high school kids here to expose them to business people for their careers and give them a face to go to, it's not a guarantee of a job but it's a place where they can go and get information if they're interested in that career."
Cr Hawkins said Clontarf did a fantastic job helping young Indigenous people in the shire.
"A lot of indigenous kids are shy and won't just front up and see the bank manager and ask about a career in the banks but if they know them they will," he told the Leader.

"But it's not only Indigenous youth, they will take on anyone that's struggling so that's what I like about it."
The ride begins at 8am, with riders to meet at the park at 7am. The day is set to wrap up at about 3pm.
The event has gained more attendees every year, with about 50 set to don their helmets in 2021.
