The introductory sessions are designed to give novices a taste of how to enjoy something a little bit fancy.
And, it's all under the watchful eye of bar manager Ben Draper.
"Personally I've always loved whisky and I've been involved in that for quite a while, everyone asks me for recommendations," he said.
"But, some people are scared to dip their foot in for something they potentially won't like."
The monthly sessions will step newcomers through different types of whisky and how to drink them.
The first is on Sunday and Mr Draper hopes to give people a bit of an understanding about the process of how each region's version of whisky, or whiskey, is made.

He'll run people through why it tastes the way it does and for those who want to try something extra spectacular there's beer pairings to match.
"Most people's exposure is stealing dad's Johnny Walker Red or a shot of Jameson with a cheap beer at the pub, but there's more to it than meets the eye," he said.
The first Welder's Whisky Club starts on Sunday at 4pm for $50, people can call the bar to make bookings or head to social media for more information.
