Spacey Jane band member Caleb Harper told the Leader the group is pumped to play in Tamworth as part of the Next Exit festival.
"It's the buzz of being back on stage and the excitement of having a live crowd," he said.
"Playing live is our absolute happy place and ... we put 100 per cent energy into these live shows and there's lots of moving around and engaging with the audience."
Despit a dark time in COVID-19, the band found triple j Hottest 100 success this year and is looking forward to being reunited with their "mates" from Ocean Alley and other acts CLEWS, Dear Seattle and Merci, Mercy on the fun festival round.

He said the band was planning a "grand tour" of Tamworth while they're in town, though they have to move on to the next location for Next Exit Festival soon after.
Tamworth Regional Council coordinator of economic and destination development Kate Baker said it was exciting to attract new, different events to the country music capital.
"It certainly attracts a different demographic for music," she said.
She said hotels in the city were reporting bookings for the event and there had been enquiries through the tourist information centre.
Council confirmed the Bicentennial Park main green would be blocked off, but no roads would be closed.
Next Exit Festival is ticketed and gates open on Friday afternoon.
