The Veterans Day was held last Thursday with 40-odd vets turning out to have a roll.
"We didn't have it last year because of COVID but previous years with the drought and things like that, numbers were falling down so to get 40 bowlers here is really good on a Thursday," Hennessey said.
"Hopefully over the years it will build up again to where it used to be."

The West Tamworth bowler added: "We've got two bowling greens - if you could fill them both up, that'd be ideal."
Along with Tamworth clubs, bowlers from Kootingal and Werris Creek played in the event.
Hennessey has been helping run the day since the 1970s when "green fees were $2 a player" and the club has been able to keep the price fairly low in 2021.
"With the help of Kevin Anderson's office with sponsorship from the government, we were able to get away with charging just $10 for lunch and bowls," he said.
