Judge Payne had moved the case from Tamworth in March to Sydney for sentencing, after the defence needed time to gather medical evidence from a treating specialist for a serious illness diagnosed while in custody.
On Wednesday and Thursday, submissions from the Crown and defence as well as victim impact statements were delivered in court before the sentence was handed down.
References from a Tamworth friend and a former partner were also tendered in the defence case.
The offender received a 25 per cent discount for his pleas on two charges, as well as a 15 per cent discount on three charges.
Judge Payne imposed a head sentence of 12 years to date from May 2018, with a non-parole period of eight years. The offender will be first eligible for parole in May 2026.
Strike Force Duncansby arrested the man in Tamworth on November 23, 2017. The strike force was launched by Oxley police to investigate allegations of historical sex abuse.
