Kootingal-Moonbi beat the Bears 32-18 after Norths had led 12-10 at half-time thanks to two slashing tries from Kim Resch.
Resch, Kate Ferguson and Rachel Halpin all excelled for the Bears while the Roosters also had a number of outstanding players alongside captain-coach Abby Schmiedel.

Bromley Nankivell, Maddi Roach and Tayla King also earned plaudits from Schmiedel.
"They are definitely the team to beat," Le Brocq said of Kooty.
"We've got a new group, a lot of new players and a heap of stuff to work on."
Le Brocq joins nine other players at the top of the league tag best and fairest standings with three points.
Manilla's Shavanah Boota, also in a beaten side, earned the three points as Manilla were humbled 76-0 by Dungowan.
At Kitchener Park, Nautica Eather scored one of seven tries for the Bulldogs on her way to polling the three points.
Zoe Fleming bagged a hat-trick as Gunnedah won 40-0 against Barraba.
Werris Creek won 20-nil against Narrabri with Molly Turner earning the three points. Magpies coach Jason Smith said Turner and Zoe Allan impressed.
"Jess Pryor got our player's player and scored her first try, too," Smith added.
Out at Boggabri there was a 12-all draw with Boggabri's Holli Rodstrom polling the three.
